Vialia casually brushed her long brown braid back over her shoulder and considered the plan again. The human Adeptus Astartes had proved formidable foes in the early engagements with them so far. The communication she was about to send could change all of that, but could they be trusted to play their part? She decided to try at least. Her situation with the humans could hardly get any worse. She turned to the young Eldar at the communications station.
"Lathair, open a wide band link that will ensure I can communicate with the humans in this region of the planet called the Celestine peaks."
"As you wish, Farseer."
She waited as the link was established then began her message.
"Humans of the Adeptus Astares known as Blood Dragons and Thirteenth Legion. This is Farseer Vialia of the Alaitoc craftworld. I wish to inform you that we have no quarrel with you here in this system. We desire only to combat the Great Devourer whom you call the Tyranids. As your chapter masters have indicated to me it would be in our best interest to fight the same threat. To this end I am ordering all Alaitoc forces to withdraw from the planet you call Tiorl 7 immediately. We will cease our attacks against all forces of the Human Emperor who do not attack us. I implore you to accept this offer. It was nearly done not long ago in another place, but was ruined by the actions of one of your own. All the same we are willing to entertain this new suggestion of alliance. Do not disappoint us again."
She motioned for Lathair to cut the communication off then.
"Send a message to Farseer Jaheris. He is to leave the planet immediately with all of his forces and rendezvous with us here at the hulk."
"It shall be done."
She nodded to the Guardian again, and said a mental prayer to Isha that for once the humans would use their heads and accept the offer.

"Farseer Vialia of the Alaitoc craftworld. This is Commander Tarrant of the Blood Dragons Expeditionary Force. Your offer of ceasefire seems disingenuous as you were the ones to initiate armed conflict and are the ones who maintained your attacks on my forces. It seems clear to me that the only reason you are asking for a cessation of hostilities is after suffering multiple crushing defeats at the hands of my skilled warriors. Since you initiated the conflict to even matters between us you must pay reparations to the Blood Dragons. For us to accept a cease-fire you must pay some form of tribute. Anything other than this will be seen as a slight to our honor and you will be judged accordingly. Harshly.”

Vialia looked at the transcript of the message received from the human Astartes leader. The tone of the message raised an ire within her at first, but upon reflection she allowed for the fact that both sides had lost warriors in this conflict. She ran a gentle hand over the communications node in her chambers.
"Lathair, record a message to be sent to the leader of the Blood Dragons.
Commander Tarrant. We have no interest in fighting you. My forces came to this system in pursuit of something which could be dangerous to us all. I believe this to be the presence of the Hulk you call the plucked eye. It houses an evil far older and far more sinister than those you call traitors. I believe our conflict was an unfortunate error. We needed to get to the site of the Necrontyr infestation and you blocked our way. The losses to us both were unfortunate. I have already ceased hostilities unilaterally, but cannot offer this "tribute" which you speak of. I can offer you the respect of a warrior. In as much as our losses were more serious than your own you will have to be satisfied with that.
The last I can offer is the assistance of a portion of my force in removing the blight of the Krork from the surface of your world. The primitives must be stopped from completing their weapons platforms. I will order my forces to initiate strikes on these sites if you will order your forces on the hulk to engage the Necrons there in order to allow us time to end any threat from their ancient weapons. I believe this is a fair pact.
Others of your fellow Astartes have already agreed to this cessation of conflict between us and I am informed that your fellow humans have engaged the Necrons in isolated outposts already. In agreeing with me you will be assisting them as well. If you fail in this you will fail in your duty to your God Emperor and you will be judged accordingly. Harshly.
I await your response.
Send that immediately, Lathair."
Vialia sat back and awaited the humans response searching the strands of fate for her next course of action. It was time to return to the Hulk and check on Reghild's progress.

Tarrant leaned back in his command chair. He gazed at the large gem in his hand. It had been recovered from one of the battles his warriors had won against the devious Eldar. In fact they had many such gems. After every battle with the Eldar, his warriors collected all of the alien tech for study, including these gems. The eldar seemed to prize these gems and use them as some form of psychic bond. Each of their warriors had one fastened to their armor. Tarrant even heard reports that Tyranids had been collecting these pretty stones as well. He would have to have one of his librarians delve into the stones mysteries.
The elder message he had been listening to ended. What to do about this?
-Begun in a pleasant tone of voice-
“Farseer Vialia. Of course you can offer a form of recompense. You haven’t even begun to try. It’s good I find it amusing that the mouse would not behave meekly before the lion. It does show some backbone.
As for attacking the Krork on our behalf, yes, this may in fact begin to rectify the serious flaws in judgment you have made in the past. Of course actions always speak louder than words, so I would have to see some action against the Krorks before I began to believe a single word you have said.
I am sending a delegation of my warriors to you. How they are treated will reflect on your honor as a warrior and your desire for us to work together. I will let them judge for me the level of this ‘threat’ you speak of.” -Voice lowers considerably-
“One last thing. Never speak to me again about my duty to my Emperor. Ever.”
Tarrant had the message sent to the eldar known as Vialia. He considered for a moment, his gaze focused on the eldar gem, his mind elsewhere.
“Send a message to Draconis as well. Fully coded. Request that Ascanius contact me immediately.”

This is Knight Lord of the Ordo Equites Piaclum and the chapter master of the 13th Legion. While we are hated enemies of the Eldar, we have much more pressing matters at hand than this pitiful dieing race. You Xeno scum may have wronged us at Maxim Prime, but we will begrudgingly acknowledge your ceasefire.
While your intentions may not be honorable, however temporary this allaince could aid both sides. We have a situation regarding rogue marines in our Ordo, to honor your agreement you must bring us the heads of fifty of these men, or else we will not submit. And if we, or our allies sense any wrongdoing, or misleading actions by the Eldar, rest assured, we will crush you.
Our Ordo is the size of a Legion of Space Marines, the entire Eldar race cannot claim that title. We are watching you and your forces with closer scrutiny than you know, and our Pyskers have discovered no deceit, yet.
Henceforth, I order all marines of the 13th Legion, the Angel's Praetoria, the Knights Pentitent and our allies the Emperor's Shadows and the rest of the ordo to stand down in our crusade against the eldar. For we must keep our friends close and our enemies closer.
For the Emperor, for Redemption!
Knight-Lord, Chapter Master, Octavian

So once again the Angels Praetoria and the Ordo of the Penitent Knights is into conflict with our fellow Adeptus Astartes. The 13th Legion should see this as nothing new.

ooc: I notice the sarcasm in your voice... This is nothing new for the 13th Legion either, but we are badasses(or is that badassi?) so we can handle it.
