The narrative portion of all Necron battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
While you can choose to play the campaign with a more strategic focus than narrative, your report still requires a story (which does matter, so write something). Remember also that narrative is for advancing the story, not giving a dry, blow-by-blow account of your game.

The scanning equipment began to detect the anomalies on the surface of Centarius as the Sorcerers ritual began to build up speed. The information was transmitted down to the surface to one of the sentinel Monoliths protecting the mine entrance, which in turn was relayed to the powerful Necron Lord in command of the war effort deep in the tunnels.
Lord JET quickly analyzed the data, the humans were up to something and whats worse it involved the use of the Old Ones magic. Lord JET corrected his thoughts: what was worst of all indeed was that he was not far from the epicenter of this anomaly. He would have to stop it.
He began to move deeper into the tunnel network with his carefully selected force. These humans liked to think of themselves as the nightmares of the Galaxy, and yet while the tunnels of their mine complex ran thick with squads of untouchable wraiths, ferocious Flayed ones and his personal bodyguard of Pariahs, the close quarters of the battlefield ran thick with the blood of the screaming fools as they greeted their fickle deities.
His poor foes were unaware of the level of experience Lord JET had obtained in tunnel warfare Lord JET mused as unleashed his Nightmare Shroud into yet another squad of doomed defenders...
*Is it just me or are Necron armies 100% designed for tunnel warfare? My poor opponent couldn't even shoot my Pariahs and thus got torn to shreds, very fun.*

The mine tunnels underneath the humans ritual had been cleared of enemy combatants Lord JET concluded and his Tomb Spyders began to hastily construct their warp nullifier in one of the larger caverns.
After several hours strange sounds began echoing up from deeper within the mines, Lord JET managed to awaken his patrolling warriors to the threat moments before the ferocious aliens fell upon them...it would prove to be the bloodiest melee of Lord JET's campaign and the aliens were barely fought off, it seems that the taste of metal did little for their appetite.
Now all Lord JET could do is wait and see if his psychic nullifier could be constructed in time...
*Final Necron battle of the campaign*
