The narrative portion of all Necron battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
While you can choose to play the campaign with a more strategic focus than narrative, your report still requires a story (which does matter, so write something). Remember also that narrative is for advancing the story, not giving a dry, blow-by-blow account of your game.

Lord JET stared down at the planet from his view port, he found the view soothing, it was a good distraction from the terrifying freedom he no found himself cursed with. As expected Lord JET sensed the sound of Destroyer class thrusters maneuvering into the room.
'Master you summoned me?' Lord Baccus stated.
Lord JET remained silent a while longer, replaying his plan in his mind this had better work.
'Baccus our forces are engaging the humans lines all over the island, victory is assured however it will take too long.' Lord JET mused. 'Therefore we shall lead an assault to puncture their lines and enter the mines proper, prepare my forces'.
There was no answer as Baccus left the room...

The mine entrance had been held and at minimal cost. Lord JET had been calculating increased likelihood of failure for each passing minute that they stayed at the main entrance without reinforcements. Then the sight he had been desperately awaiting arrived.
The Chaos forces had been whittling away at his small force that he had broken through the mines outer defenses, when suddenly the materialization of a Monolith occurred followed by the immediate volleys of Gauss fire into the surrounding foes. The humans were unable to match the sheer firepower now brought against them and fled the battlefield.
Lord JET began to head into the mines proper while more and more Necron forces poured from the Monolith, the humans beneath would be unable to escape this way and the humans outside would have to work hard to dislodge Lord JETs new foothold.
