The narrative portion of all Necron battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
While you can choose to play the campaign with a more strategic focus than narrative, your report still requires a story (which does matter, so write something). Remember also that narrative is for advancing the story, not giving a dry, blow-by-blow account of your game.

"The prisoner is correct." Lord Baccus networked to his senior. Lord JET remained silent his annoyance plain, so that was why the rebels had chosen this planet as its landing site...and why the humans were so interested in the Frozen North. "Destroy the prisoner and have it reconstructed and reprogrammed." Lord JET ordered as he swept to wards the command deck of his Flagship.
The Rebels were all but destroyed he was sure of it, the humans had provided all the bait he had needed to draw the majority of them out of hiding and with the death of their Lord they would be hunted down with little difficulty.
Lord JET stared at the seismic scan of the Polar North and railed in internal frustration at his restrictive programming, hunt down the Rebels he was ordered and thus he was trapped into performing. He initiated an analysis of his orders searching for some leeway by which he could justify what he desired. Lord JET suffered a moments disorientation the analysis came up inconclusive, no orders found...
Lord JET followed protocol and attempted to re-establish his orders from the ships memories. 'Malfunction Detected-Objective Establishment Procedures Disabled' Lord JET remained motionless for many hours his soul gripped by absolute fear. It had been millenia many many millenia since he did not have orders his programming ensured he would carry out.
Lord Baccus hovered into the room causing Lord JET to flinch back from him expecting condemnation and instant attack. Lord Baccus however merely hovered to his usual respectful distance and requested Lord JETs next orders. Lord JET paused there was no indication that his fellow Lord was aware of his new found freedom.
The Necron Lord straightened and turned to the command console with a new found confidence. Technical readouts showed the Tomb World had 85% awakened with all the Monoliths that the Rebels hadn't corrupted awaiting instructions.

The Chaos base camp on Genesis was subject to a rude awakening, the warriors watched nervously from their vehicles as dozens of the Monolith structures that had littered the continent floated past them in the distance. One such structure diverted its course and made for their location...
*******************************************************
Once the Human encampment had been harvested the Monolith and its Necron charges fell back into formation with its brethren centered around the gigantic Megalith and resumed their course for the Polar North and the so called Bane of the Ancients...

The Tombships sensors monitored the Necron assault forces advance, the Monoliths hovered across the sea providing no inconvenience, the humans had built up considerable defenses around the island it would be a difficult fight but not impossible mused Lord JET.
As the first Monolith phalanxes began to engage the defenders Lord JET chose what appeared to be the most difficult area for a beachhead and left to lead the assault in person. The Iron Warriors would soon feel the wrath of beings truly made of Iron within and Iron without...
