The narrative portion of all Chaos battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
While you can choose to play the campaign with a more strategic focus than narrative, your report still requires a story (which does matter, so write something). Remember also that narrative is for advancing the story, not giving a dry, blow-by-blow account of your game.

To: Detachment Captains and Field Commanders From: Warsmith Kane, Northern Mining Facility
Attention all detachment Captains and field commanders, we have come under attack by Tyranids. The creatures have landed on our island and taken a number of watch posts; while that is not a major threat to the facility at this time we have begun stomping it out so that it does not become one. Our outer defenses have reported contact with swarms of the Tyranids. So far they have beaten them back and managed to hold their ground without assistance. Regardless of this victory Foremen are advised to have their crews double their efforts, especially on wall and minefield construction.
In light of these events I also hereby order Captain DeVeen to return to the mining facility to help us reinforce our numbers and contain this threat. Captain Slavic is to remain where he is and continue his hunt, he should however stay on alert and ready to mobilize to return to the mining facility if called for.
We shall hunt these creatures down and beat them back from these lands, regardless of cost. Iron Within. Iron Without

Baldwin watches her move, the creature his contingent of Emperor's Children calls The Goddess Calliope. He was never a man that put much faith in the Gods. He had seen faithful men die waiting for the fickle gods to send miracles, but This Calliope is enough to at least reaffirm the might and majesty of the power of Chaos.
He stands from his secured portion of the icy flats of the polar north watching her and her warrior-fanatics slaughter the last remaining fragments of the ultra Marines and the whoreson bastards of the Imperial Fists. It was a combined force of corpse worshippers that stood against the Warsmith Rutabo's forces and its a combined force of corpses that he'll have shoveled into a pit and buried.
This was not an easy fight, pleasurable certainly but it was costly as well. Baldwin knows he should not feel pleasure from a conflict, that he should be more duty bound then that but the Demon Princess' mere presence on the field has distracted his thoughts.
Baldwin's eyes fix on her. The seemingly meek fragile female form, her dark red hair shoulder length and flowing wildly in the unnatural breeze created by her use of power. Her body everything that a mortal could crave, should crave. curvaceous and alluring, desirable and yet icy and intimidating. She's flanked by two of Slannesh’s steeds, a larger breed. The usual avian like legs replaced by serpentine bodies. They slither around her, never far, protecting her, killing for her.
Baldwin watches with sickening attentiveness as the Goddess Calliope caresses a Veteran Sergeant’s soul from his body. The luminous ghostly soul pulled eagerly into her body, the corpse falling the snow with an exhaustive gasp.
He snaps out of his daze and quickly uses his helm integrated vox comm to contact his Iron Warriors "We leave the field to the zealots. War is Iron Warriors, reckless indulgences are for them." With a reluctant effort he finally leaves the field, the remains of his warriors with him. He leaves the Goddess and her fanatics to their business. Who is he to interfere with on of the Warsmith's patron "investors" and her rituals. He only knows there is no place for it among his warriors. He allows the slaughter of the ancient enemy, the Imperial Fists, cleanse his mind.
(I fought a pretty interesting game against one of my friends who plays the blue boys, Ultra Marines, and a local gamer guy who played Imperial fists. It worked out nice with the big contingent of Iron warriors I had. I played a lot of Slaanesh on this one, including my Demon Princess. One of the models I’m more proud of. Great game that I managed a win instead of a draw by less then fifty points.)

To: All Iron Warrior Personnel From: Warsmith Kane, Northern Mining Facility
We have confirmation that a group of Genestealers has infiltrated the mines and the complex. I have ordered all mining operations halted and placed the facility on a Code: Yellow lockdown. All entrances to the mines and facility buildings are to remain locked and the use of numeric pass codes is to be enforced. All auxiliary troops and Iron Warrior forces that are not stationed on the walls or outer defenses are to remain at full alert and report any suspicious activity. To that end I have dispatched three squads to the mines to clean out the filth. Any non-servitor miners found within the tunnels are to be shot on sight and those tunnels that currently have no use or connection to the temple are to be sealed by whatever means necessary.
Our teams have already managed to seal several tunnels while engaging the Genestealer threat with acceptable results. They will continue to do this until we have cleansed what we can of the mines so we may continue our operations here. Again those not assigned a work duty or patrols are to remain vigilant of any Tyranid presence.
