The narrative portion of all Necron battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
While you can choose to play the campaign with a more strategic focus than narrative, your report still requires a story (which does matter, so write something). Remember also that narrative is for advancing the story, not giving a dry, blow-by-blow account of your game.

Fighting was slow and hard in the inactive Megalith on Genesis. Along the thousands of ancient corridors fought two opposing and equally ancient armies, one fighting for freedom, the other for continued slavery.
Gauss fire flared interrmitently out of the Megaliths viewports creating an eerie light show for any observers outside. Lord JET's personal guard had fought their way to the command centre of the structure to be confronted by his enemy, a traitor, a Necrontyr.
Lord JET studied the Lord before his short range communications received an incomming message.
"Cousin why do you fight against us? Can you not see the great opportunity that we have? We could be free of our shackles forever! Join us and we can continue to spread freedom."
Lord JET knew the arguments of the traitors well but he also knew why the C'tan entrusted him ith hunting these dogs down, they had given him a cruel and unique reminder to ensure his loyalty. He activated his own networking array and replied, unaware of the foreign code that was transmitted into his memory sytems.
"You are so short sighted my erstwhile brethren, do you not remember our homeworld? The arrogant Old Ones and their golden children? You would dare in your arrogance to give us hope for freedom?"
Freedom Lord JET mused as he engaged the traitor Lord was the greatest curse of the living...
