The narrative portion of all Chaos battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
While you can choose to play the campaign with a more strategic focus than narrative, your report still requires a story (which does matter, so write something). Remember also that narrative is for advancing the story, not giving a dry, blow-by-blow account of your game.

To: Warsmith Kane, Northern Mining Facility From: Captain Slavic
Landing on this Mycenea continent has proved somewhat successful; we’ve established a foothold and have begun our search of a nearby farming community. The battle still rages on amongst the plantation grounds. They were surprisingly well prepared; it also appears however that some Slaanesh cult activity has taken place here. Most likely there is a shrine…or gathering spot for these cultists on the grounds. As soon as the battlefield is secured we shall investigate further.
I shall report again once we have victory. Iron Within, Iron Without.

Captain DeVeen had left three squads and a few tanks behind on Genesis to help in fulfilling the Black Hand’s end of the agreement between them and the Necrons. Champion Eber had been selected to lead the group for his dedication and command ability, neither of which had been required thus far. The land was dead and empty, once in a while on a patrol they’d run into a group of Necrons only to have them vanish. Hopefully today would be different.
“Sir this is the one,” One of Eber’s Iron Warriors nodded as they gazed upon a large black structure. “Why would the sorcerer wish us to cleanse these tombs?”
“I’m not quite sure but we shall do as we are commanded.” The Champion signaled for the marines and their vehicles to approach with caution. “Keep an eye out for anything out of place.”
As they approached the large box like building several units of Necrons phased into existence before them. The Iron Warriors paused unsure if they were friend or foe, when a gauss beam clipped the Eber’s shoulder he knew the answer.
Eber gave the order to charge and finish their foe, as the Iron Warriors stepped out from their positions the enemy seemed to just disappear. They all stood silent for a moment listening for anything other than the engine of their support tank.
“Looks like this thing is secure sir.” One of the warriors said to the Champion. “Shall I send word to the Captain?”
“Yes, send him a record of the battle and our list of casualties.” Eber inspected his bolter as he snapped in a new clip. “Then we continue our patrol.”
