Fizz For the Greater Go [End Transmission] Aun'Va appears on the viewing screen, “Attention all commanders in and near the Tiorl system. It is imperative that you aid in the rescue on Shas’0 T'ros Suam. Shas'O Fi'rios Savon is already in the system and organizing the rescue effort. Please hurry in the name of the Greater Good.
Hello and welcome followers of the Greater Good to the WarSeer Campaign. Let me introduce myself I am Lu Bu your moderator and fluff writer. I will be paying close attention to communication on the board so that I can accurately create the fluff with heroic commanders taking the field.
The Tau offer two battle fronts to take part in. One is the rescue cadre that is led by Savon 2nd in command Shas’ El Fi'rios M'yen in hopes to evacuate the refuges on the planet from the ork wagh that is there, and the second is the exploration cadre that is lead by Savon on the unidentified space craft in search of the missing Shas’0 T'ros Suam.
I hope you all have fun because I will.

My main opponent is Necrons, so I most certainly am not allied with the scum! Um... I think I may be being a bit of a hypocrit here

Perhaps, but I'm keeping an eye on all of you...
Get back on track, guys. This is the thread for Tau players to sign in and nobody said the Reps couldn't play - just that you're not allowed to use your insider knowledge to create grand plans that your faction shouldn't have devised on their own.
Besides, there's few enough Tau without discouraging them.

I don't think any of us would use insider information Incubi. Not only would that spoil the campaign for everyone else (which, having helped its creation, none of us want) but it would also be counter productive (with everyone doing it nothing would be gained).

True, but this is a plan-for-the-worst situation.
Since you have access to see more than any other member of your faction, you could even sub-consiously choose to do something that wouldn't occur to others. By removing the Reps from factions' planning, we avoid any intentional or unintentional bias. As you said, we don't want to spoil it now that we're actually to the fun part.
