The narrative portion of all Necron battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
Remember that this is a narrative campaign and we are looking for a story that advances the plot, not a blow-by-blow accounting of the game.

Lord JET bowed before the awe inspiring figure of the C'tan on seated in his Tomb Ships command deck and made his report.
"Great master the Orks have destroyed an immense portion of the Lazarus Belt and nearly neutralized the engines. As a consequence the majority of the traitors have been destroyed as you anticipated, all that remains is a single paltry force guarding some of the smaller and less important engines."
Lord JET waited until the Nightbringer communicated his will and Lord JET responded. "While you do this what then shall I do master?" There is a feeling of time passing and the images in Lord JET's mind finally resolve themselves as the Nightbringers will is made clear.
"I see master your wisdom has not diminished, even if the Orks are capable of destroying the engines their overconfidence shall ensure their incapability of stopping the Hulks momentum."
Lord JET rose and strode from the room summoning the force he would need for his mission.

The Nighbringer summoned another force and beamed to the planet, the local Necrons watched in terror as their ancient and vengeful God enacted a personal revenge for their betrayal belatedly remembering to secure the small engines in the process.
The Nightbringer teleported back on board the Tomb Ship and moved it into position to open fire on any incoming planetary artillery, a few small engines would be all that was needed...

After some fierce fighting Lord JET had secured his objectives.The Orks had seemed surprised to find Necron forces teleporting in all over Orkopolis and had summoned up their entire garrison but to no avail. The Orks inferior armor made them easy prey for the Gauss weaponry that made the Necrons such terrifying foes.
Lord JET did not however take the destruction of the large garrison as a sign to move towards the Zuper Gunz, his masters plan was much more cunning...
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
After half an hour of holding back intermittent Ork raids the Necrons had finished their alterations. The force shield that had steadfastly protected them from orbital bombardment would now be their undoing. As the Orks had prepared all of their Gunz to fire once again at the Hulk one of his warriors relayed that they would be shutting down the shield briefly. Lord JET gave the go ahead the shield went down however as the missiles blasted from the Gunz Lord JET initiated the newly installed override, he watched with satisfaction as they impacted the shield immediately after takeoff causing immense devastation to the Dakka Town area along with the Gunz themselves.
Lord JET was satisfied as the explosions ignited the nearby Zuper Gun ammunition causing further havoc. Lord JET would have grinned if he was one of the hated living, the Orks were not going to be able to finish off the Hulk unless they dislodged him from their shield controls first...

Lord JET slew the last of the pursuing Orks, the Necrons had'nt held the sheild controls for long but hopefully it would be enough. Regardless of how the situation played out Lord JET had held the rondevus point and the majority of his forces had escaped the planet intact with any others being phased out for reconstruction.
Lord JET was no longer certain of victory however he had one last task to complete. His Tomb Ships advanced cloaking technology served him well as he began the salvage operation. The Necron traitors were all dead and some of his forces had taken heavy losses but their remains would be gathered aboard his vessel and rebuilt without their concerning independance, yes the Necron Fleet of Lord JET would return to fight elsewhere in the Galaxy, stronger and with more hatred than ever before. No victory against the C'tan was never more than a temporary setback...
