The narrative portion of all Ork battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
Remember that this is a narrative campaign and we are looking for a story that advances the plot, not a blow-by-blow accounting of the game.

*** Excerpts taken from the diary of Mate 3rd Class Horatio Goertz of the Imperial Freighter Gideon’s Inheritance. This item was found by investigation teams on the Plucked Eye near an area know as the Lazarus Belt***
<Begin Transcript> By the Emperor that had been close. I had thought the wrath of the Emperor was falling out of the sky. Luckily, we were outside of the blast area, but the fire, smoke, and noise had been impressive when the huge ork barrage hit the Lazarus Belt. The Hulk was still shaking from after quakes.
It was clear that the hulk around the Necron ship was starting to come apart. From where we were standing, we could see that many of the Necron engines were off line, but the Hulk was still moving towards Tiorl 7.
The Kaptin pointed at a last engine emplacement, “We’ll place a target homer over there. Then, we’ll start placing our Plasma Detonators in other parts of the Hulk.” <End Excerpt>
<Begin Excerpt> The ground around us smoldered and cracked from the last barrage. Where hills and buildings use to be; only blasted rubble and craters remained. The glow of an engine lit up the horizon like a massive sun.
Kaptin Rotgut expected the tinheads to make a stand to protect these last few operating engines. He sent most of the orks ahead to bait the tinhead guards out. Our real objective was an access hatch we could hide the target homer in, and then get out of the way for the big guns to work.
As expected, the ork mobs drew the tin heads out. They appeared out of thin air, and started blazing away with green bolts of energy. I had found myself numbed to the bizarre and utterly alien creatures I had seen on Tiorl 7. Even the silver, glistening skulls of the tinheads fail to move me. I was more interested in how their green rays seemed to disintegrate ork warriors. That made me shudder as I imagined it happening to me.
Everything was going according to the Caption’s plan. His Mek and some Gretchin helpers scurried up to the access hatch and began lowering the target homer inside. We waited in a nearby crater and observed. One of the Tinhead leaders seemed to realize what we were doing, and raced over on his flying body. He apparently didn’t see us, as he trained in on the Mek.
Rotgut drew his pistol and axe and rushed out from the crater. The ork warriors around me followed suit. The flying tinhead turned his baleful green eyes on us, but it was too late. The agile warboss leapt into the air and sunk his axe into the tinhead’s side skirts. The weight of the ork caused the lord sink downward. Rotgut fired madly into the metal monstrosity’s underside, while hanging on for dear life.
The robot looked dispassionately at the oncoming orks as his a ghastly green energy blade flicked to life on his staff. Despite the warboss hanging from him, the machine made a quick arcing sweep with the weapon and decapitated a pair of charging orks. It wasn’t enough as he was brought down by a series of axe hits, bullets, and pounding ork fists.
The Mek secured the homer and activated it. We quickly clambered back to the truck, and the Kaptin ordered the withdrawal. We quickly scampered away from the big guns next target. <End Excerpt>

*** Excerpts taken from the diary of Mate 3rd Class Horatio Goertz of the Imperial Freighter Gideon’s Inheritance. This item was found by investigation teams on the Plucked Eye near an area know as the Glasswind Heights***
<Begin Excerpt> The Skulsmash Reeverz had been making for our Lander since the successful raid on the Plucked Eyes engines. The constant barrage by the ork Big Guns had left the hulk in the area of the Lazarus belt fragmenting. I had watched with my own eyes as several large chunks drifted away into space. It was a surreal sight.
On our return, we had encountered a few Imperial troops and Eldar, but they quickly disengaged. It seemed like everyone had the same idea. Get off this Hulk.
The orks were careful to plant the Plasma Detonators as we went. We left a trail of five of them between our Lander in the Glasswind Heights and the Lazarus Belt. The pattern roughly bisected the Plucked Eye. The Kaptin hoped that the explosives would break the Hulk up into small pieces.
I had my own plans. Five unused Plasma Detonators waited in the bed of one our trucks. <End Excerpt>
<Begin Excerpt> A wall of Imperial Space Marines blocked us from our Lander. Unlike the other humans we had encountered on our return trip, these beakies didn’t seem like they were going to disengage. They had taken strong defensive positions within some of the ship wreckage.
I gave a prayer to the Emperor that I would survive, and a reassuring sensation coursed through me. The ancient purity seal attached to my tunic glittered in the growing light of day. I was confident that my work was sanctioned by Him ON Terra himself, and not even his finest warriors could keep me from my duty on board the Gideon’s Inheritance.
Kaptin Rotgut pulled his field cap down over his eyes and glared at his power armored opponents. He growled with annoyance. They were between him and escape.
The roar of missiles began the battle as they streaked across the sky and found their mark amongst the mob of green skins. A few tumbled into the air from the explosions.
Our truck roared to life, as we followed a group of warbikes across the battlefield. The bikes kicked up a cloud of wretched dust and smoke. I coughed spasmodically, but the orks around me smiled and whooped with glee. They started chanting, “ ’Ere we go, ‘ere we go, ‘ere we go!” at the top of their lungs. Even Rotgut joined them.
Tracers, rockets, and energy beams sliced the air all around us. The truck bounced and jolted as we jumped over craters, fallen bodies, and scattered wreckage. I held on for dear life, not wanting to be thrown from the maniac machine.
The truck screeched to a halt, that I wasn’t sure was intentional. All the orks around me launched themselves out in a flurry of excitement. Their excitement was palpable in the air. I followed, and the truck we were in exploded. It sent me flying to the ground. The wind was ripped from my lungs and my head bounced hard. Darkness surrounded me. <End Excerpt>
<Begin Excerpt> I woke up in the Lander a few minutes before docking with the Gideon’s Inheritance. My head throbbed with a dull pain. Every time the pain struck, my vision blurred slightly. I carefully looked around.
The Kaptin bellowed, “No anesthetic!” A Gretchin stitched up his arm as an ork Doc supervised from a safe distance. It was a well known fact that orks that had anesthetic sometimes left the doc with new parts or missing parts.
He looked over at me a grinned, “Looks like the skumgrod survived again.” All the boys on board laughed.
I smiled. The Emperor WAS with me. <End Excerpt>

Kaptun Skargrubb grabbed his powerclaw and motioned to the Ork in front of him. They were moving in on the target. Some Tinboy was in the control room Dakkaslag, thought and he and his force needed to be eliminated. The Necrons had been attacking Dakkatown all day, but Dakkatown was not the only location of the gunz. Several smaller batteries had been hidden in an abandoned Imperial base complex. While the Necrons had ruined several of the gunz, these gunz were untouched. Now, Dakkaslag needed to have this Tinboy eliminated, and Skargrubb and his speswhel ops gitz were up to the task.
The Necrons were firmly entreched in a building to the northwest, near the controls of the shield.
A Necron group was approaching. Skargrubb threw a rock into a barrel behind the Necrons before activating his powerclaw and charging. Suddenly Orks were pouring from the buildings of the Orkopolis following their warboss. The Orks caught the Necrons off guard and ripped them, literally, to pieces.
ZAP! With a flash of green light a Necron Monolith appeared between two buildings. Skargrubb had fought these before, and the Killa Kanz were adept at eliminating them.
"Kanz, get 'em!" shouted the Warboss into the captured Imperial Vox. "Gitz letz get to da skrumgrod at da shield fing!"
Skargrubb hacked through another Necron, and was nearly missed by a shot from the Monolith. Skargrubb turned to face the massive machine just as a pair of Killa Kanz ripped into its metal core, causing a massive explosion. Skargrubb adverted his eyes and looked back towards the facility the skrumgrod was holed up in.
As his warriors finished off the last of the Necrons, the meks placed one of the captured plasma charges on the building.
"Evac, now gitz!" shouted Skargrubb. He ran, and ran and ran. He ran past the bombed out buildings that had been a warzone for the past few days, past the ruined gunz, back to his base.
BOOOMM! Skargrubb was thrown to the ground as an explosion ripped through the streets of Dakkatown, leveling several blocks of buildings, including the shield's control center.
Now several gunz were permanently destroyed, but at least the Necrons were away from the controls of the shields. Necrons still roamed the streets of the Orkopolis and if the Orks were to be victorious, they would need to root out these invaders.

This would be Skargrubb's last fight on this rock of a planet. Well, he wasn't really on the planet, he was on the hulk that was approaching the planet. Skargrubb looked at the plasma charges across the hill. The Mek was arming the final one, soon they could get off this hulk.
Suddenly a shot rang through the air. A bullet flicked off Skragrubbs armor. He looked up, beakies, and snipers at that. The beakies were pouring from the ruins to the west, they were obviously trying to stop the detonation of the plasma charges.
"gitz, dis is ow last chance, krump da beakies an we kan leave!"
Skargrubb broke off from the squad he was with an rushed towards the nearest squad of Space Marines.
"WAAAGGGGHHH!!" shouted Skargrubb as he slammed into a Space Marine with terminal force. Skargrubb lashed out with his huge power claw slaying the group of Marines in one swipe. Across the battle, Skargrub's junior officer, Durguz da Bitz Kruncha, was leading a group of Kommandos to defend one of the plasma charges. They could not let these charges fall into enemy hands.
Skargrubb unloaded a clip of his big shoota on a Space Marine Land speeder. it seemed the ork got a lucky hit and the Speeder exploded into a fireball. Across the battle Durguz attacked with his powerclaw and ripped a hole in the Land Raider causing a massive explosion, ripping the tank apart.
The Space Marines were slaughtered, another victory for Skargrubb and his Merkanairies. And probably the last on this planet.
Skargrubb calmly walked into his landing craft.
"Gitz get in da ship!" ordered the boss.
The Orks took several minutes to pile into the ship, and for the meks to get the ship ready. The ship rattled into action, and quickly made its escape from the hulk. When they were far enough away, Skargrubb pressed the detonator the Meks had rigged for the bombs. A flash of light, an explosion, a shockwave. Then they were gone, the hulk was even more heavily damaged than it was before. And the Orks were safe in the warp, headed towards the next world to fight on.

Note OOC: This battle actually took place before my previous battle in the timeline. I didn't think that I would get to battle again but I did.
Skargrubb watched the horizen for more Dark Eldar. The forces of the Dark Kin had been raiding the Merkanaires o' Strefan Prime for the last few hours. Skargrubb lost lots of his boyz to these sadistic slave traders, it was time to make a stand. Skargubb had an ambush prepared for when the Dark Eldar returned: he would bait them with a fake plasma charge before charging in full force.
Sure enough the traditional howl of a Dark Eldar engine came up over the hill. Skargrub saw a host of Dark Eldar vehicles zooming over the hills. They were darting back and forth between cover.
"Le' 'em come a bit clsoa'" wispered Skargrubb to his Speswel Ops gitz. They nodded begrudgingly in approval. That was why Skargrubb was the boss and they wern't. He was kunnin' and had sneaky plans, they didn't.
"Now!"
The Orks screamed into action firing wildly towards anything that moved. Skargrubb personally led a squad of Elite Spweswhel Ops boyz towards an Dark Eldar raider. Skargrubb could see the shock and grimace on the face of the Eldar drive just before Skargrubb unloaded his gun right into his face. The driver's head exploded in a mountain of gore, and the ship smashed into the ground with explosive force causing a huge explosion in front of Skargrubb's eyes.
SKargrubb turned his attention to a second raider approaching fast, gunz blazing. The Ork waited patiently for his whole squad to be gunned down before charging towards the tank, grabbing on to the tank with his clawing and pulling himself on it. A Dark Eldar warrior stabbed him the a bayonet, but the hardy warboss shrugged off the wound and headbutted the Eldar, cracking his foe's skull. Skargrubb threw the dead body which slammed into the driver, knocking him off the raider. Skargrubb jumped in the nick of time as the Raider smashed to the ground, killing all on top.
The Eldar were defeated, their greed for slaves had been their undoing. However, they had escaped with many Ork slaves for their Gladiator Pits.
