The narrative portion of all Ork battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
Remember that this is a narrative campaign and we are looking for a story that advances the plot, not a blow-by-blow accounting of the game.

*** Excerpts taken from the diary of Mate 3rd Class Horatio Goertz of the Imperial Freighter Gideon’s Inheritance. This item was found by investigation teams on the Plucked Eye near an area know as the Glasswind Heights***
<Begin Excerpt> The roar was deafening. The blast wave hit the bulkheads and it shuddered and creaked from the impact. For a moment I didn’t think it was going to hold. The boys and I collectively held our breath, our eyes riveted to the shaking steel plates. A few bolts sprung loose and ricocheted about the cabin, but the blast walls held.
The Kaptin had us take up positions inside one of the old wrecks on the Plucked Eyes surface. He had hoped our presence in the Glasswind Heights would lure some xenos or marines out into the open. Then, when the big guns hit they would be caught in the blast.
“Okay, mount up! We got another homer to place!” The Kaptin shouted above the ringing in my ears. We didn’t both to scout the area to see if his plan worked. <End Excerpt>
<Begin Excerpt> Rotgut supervised as his Meks and a human slave force hid another targeting homer. I was warily watching those those yawning cave entrances with my monocular instead. Some of the boys had heard bad things about them. Our gretchin scouts had scampered inside, but never came back out.
Then, I caught a hint of movement at one of the entrances. I dialed up the magnification as my eye strained to see more. Yes, something was definitely coming out. And it was big.
A huge figure ducked its way through the cave. It was like nothing that I had ever seen before. For something so large it moved with a simple elegance. It’s elongated head sweeping over the landscape, before focusing it’s attention on us.
“Pansies,” Rotgut shouted. Almost immediately, the boys opened fire. Smaller constructs followed the first out of the cave and towards us. The huge one fired a brilliant beam of light that completely disintegrated a warbike. I felt my throat go dry.
Some of the smaller ones stubbled and fell to one knee under the ork barrage of shooting. Tracers illuminated the ground between us and them. It seemed impossible that anything could survive such an onslaught. But survive they did.
Suddenly, an Imperial tank rolled over a ridge on the “Pansie” flank. A Lascannon beam blasted into the knee of the huge, elegant war machine and sent it toppling onto one knee. A unit of the Emperors’ finest crested the ridge and added to the blazing array of tracers.
Rotgut swung himself up into the truck beside me and grabbed the loudspeaker. He bellowed out orders to the boys, but I was to enthralled watching the Eldar war machines swiftly change the focus of their fire. The marines also began fanning out with a discipline that I had never seen in the orks.
Rotgut bellowed, “Let the pansies and the beakies fight it out here. We’ve got other things to do.”
One of his nobs roared out in outrage, “What? This is a good scrap.”
“Stay if you want to, but I don’t want to be here when the Big Guns hit,” Rotgut shrugged back. He tapped his driver on the shoulder and we rumbled away. The other nob leapt off the back of the truck and ran towards the firefight roaring like an enraged grox.
“Stupid Goff.” Most of Rotgut’s boys followed their Kaptin. Only a handful stayed behind. The Kaptin just shrugged, “Screens our withdrawal better.”
He pulled out his map and pointed at a long silver line on the surface of the Hulk. I knew that was our next destination to drop off a homer. Behind us, the firing of guns faded away. <End Excerpt>

BOOM!! The ground rumbled with the explosive force of the Gunz. Skargrubb watched as another dot dissapeered into the night sky. The gunz had been firing all day and all night, constantly bombarding the approaching hulk. Skargrubb knew that no matter how hard Dakkaslag tried they probably were not going to be able to stop the hulk from colliding with the planet. As much fun as it would be to stay and watch the fireworks, Skargrubb had all the bitz he needed to add some Zuper Boosta's to his ship "Da Kunnin' WAAAGGHHH!". The first chance he could he would leave Dakkaslag and this smoldering heap of a planet. Regular Orks don't run, but then again, Skargrubb wasn't a regular Ork. And plus, he wasn't running it was just a twactical retweat.
Skargrubb suddenly heard a zap noise. The Nob next to him fell to the ground, with a bolt of green energy hitting him in the shoulder. Skargrubb had fought these gitz before, and though he didn't know it, these creatures were the Necrons, the very forces attempting to ram the planet.
"Gitz, Silvah Dudes is 'ere! Krump dem befo' da big flyin' black ting comes!" shouted the Warboss "Defend da Gunz an' da ship cause we need dose"
The Meckanairies jumped into action, fireing this way and that at the approaching Necrons. Not that their aim in night was any better than during the day.
"WAAAAGGGGHHH!!" shouted Skargrubb as he and his Leuwtanant Durguz, along with a group of Elite Speswhel Ops gitz charged into a mob of metalic warriors.
Skargrubb unloaded a clip from his big shoota into the head of the first Necron before using it as a club to smash the second one apart. He activated his powerclaw just in time to parry a Necron blow. He grabbed two Necrons and cushed them beneath his claw. The rest of his forces were preforming admirably.
Durguz swung his claw in a great arc, slicing a Necron in two before Skargrubb finished off the last one with a head butt, breaking the metal of the Necron's skull open.
A bolt of pain rolled up Skargrubb's arm as he felt a glancing blow from a Gauss Flayer. He turned to see a Necron standing about twenty yards away, primed to fire. Skargrubb held down the trigger of his big shoota, but before the bullets could hit, the Necron along with the remaining others, disapeered in a flash of green light.
BOOM! Skargrubb felt another tremor as the gunz went off. He would be glad to leave this war-torn world.
