The narrative portion of all Necron battle reports should be posted here until next week's thread is set up.
Remember that this is a narrative campaign and we are looking for a story that advances the plot, not a blow-by-blow accounting of the game.

Lord JET's Plans were nearing fruition, the main concern was to destroy any nearby forces that may try to interfere. The scans of the Glasswind Heights showed that the Eldar as expected were busy regaining the ground they had lost to last weeks assault, they would not be too much trouble for now.
The scans of the Chaos Woods however had shown that disturbing progress had been made by the humans against the warp corrupted creatures that abide there, Lord JET moved his Tomb Ship into teleporter range of one of the larger human bases, their numbers would need to be thinned for the Lords long term plan to work...

The initial assault had gone according to plan with Lord JET's force crushing the human rearguard in the Chaos Woods. Soon after the Necron strike force had become bogged down in a much larger battle, it seems the humans have become aware of the threat at their back.
As the battle dragged on with many casualties on both sides and no clear victor in sight Lord JET activated the teleportation recall for his force, there was little point in wasting more troops in this stalemate, more opportune targets awaited elsewhere...

Everything was proceeding as planned, the locals and their repairs would inadvertently produce the victory Lord JET's masters demanded, the majority of his own personal legion had taken up defensive positions at key areas that would likely see a lot of heavy fighting in the coming days.
The Eldar were fighting back with a vengeance on the Glasswind Heights, it seemed they were very keen to keep the Necrons out of the interior, Lord JET wanted to know why. As he prepared to enter in co-ordinates to engage the Eldar forces alarms blazoned throughout the Tomb Ship. With a thought Lord JET analyzed what had caused the Ships alarms to come to life and analyzed the schematics of the Greenskin super artillery on the planet surface. Lord JET was about to dismiss the report he was well aware of the Greenskins cannons and was not concerned at present. The screen suddenly changed focus bringing to light a series of signals passing between various parts of the Hulk and the Ork city. One of the signals was emanating from the Lazarus Belt.
Lord JET immediately altered his plans, the Orks could bomb the other sections of the Space Hulk to ribbons for all he cared however he could not allow bombardment of the Lazarus Belt to commence so soon...

The Greenskins had fought hard as was their tendency however Lord JET could not have afforded a defeat so close to the center of his plans and his troops had stood before the fury of the Ork charge, the gamble had paid off and the Orks lay dead.
Lord JET studied the ramshackle targeting beacon and a thought if pure malevolence formed in his ancient circuits.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
A few hours later in an alleyway deep in Orkopolis there was a flash of light, once it had faded where once there was nothing an Orkish targeting beacon sat continuing to send its signal to the Super Gun nearby...
