Kind of a quick question for athenaofarcadia. I've been reading witchking92's battle reports, and now yours, and something struck me as a little....odd.
Is your army made up of space marines and sisters of battle, or have these battles been 2vs1? If its the former then going by the main fluff and codex sisters of battle your list is illegal. You can't have space marines and sisters in the same army since (and i've read the codex) they hate each other, especially the radical marines like space wolves.
Now hear me out, I'm not trying to sound preachy here (wow bad unitentional pun), its just that if you've got some good fluff reason for your sisters joining forces with marines then I'd love to hear it. I mean thats what this campaign is all about anyway, fluff and story telling.

rddragon5 -- very observant of you.... Couple of things - YES there are several very good fluff reasons that Athena crew battles along side the 13th Legion. Here's the basic deal...you have to think of the 13th Legion as a little different than you avg. marines - they are a battalion led by Witchking's awesome commander Octavian (he was not involved in the recent battles). If you visit groups.msn.com/knightpenitent/armybackground.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=50&LastModified=4675563611936990902you'll see the fluff behind Octavian and 13th Legion written by Witchking. Also if you just go to the home page of: groups.msn.com/knightpenitent where the above story is and click on Army Background and then read Baron Spikey's Index Astartes: Crusade of Penance there is even more. Be warned though these stories are over 100 pages long - but hey you asked. The more practical reason for the combo army is that my Sisters are a small army points-wise and often employ the help of a battalion or two of Grey Knights for support. But the Grey Knights were deployed at a hockey tournament down-state and unavailable for us to use. All's good now? Athena

Actually, if you look at the rules for Sisters and SMs together, the rule is that you cannot take Allied SMs in a WH army - nothing prohibits you from taking Sisters in a SM army as allies.
Youi'll also noe that it's not listed as the Sisters and Marines hating each other. Instead, it's said that the Inquisition only calls in the favors they've earned from the Marines if the Sisters wouldn't be able to handle it. Thus, no sisters if your Inquisitor calls in the Marines.
Athena - You're really hurting yourself by taking GK allies, though. Sisters' strength lies in the Acts of Faith, and you get less Faith Points by not playing pure Sororitas (with a liberal sprinkling of Eviscerators). An Exorsist or three is the only non-Faithful part of a Sisters army that I'd consider. When your collection is large enough, I think you'll find playing a pure force of Sisters is quite rewarding.

I think it's a balancing factor more than anything. If I could take Space Marine allies with my Witch Hunters I'd be damned near unstoppable. During Medusa V, though, I and another player teamed up and fought side by side in three linked engagements - Ultramarines and Sisters of Battle/Inquisitor - and nobody ever said a word against it. Not even the folks reviewing the battle reports, or the forum folk who lived to find a loophole in everything they could.
It's just that they can't be used in the SAME army list. There's nothing saying you and another player can't fight side by side.

Well, I was the opponent in that battle. It was two detachments, the "Sarge" Lucius was actually a Captain. I believe that ends the arguement once and for all...

My WH list is almost pure sisters (I have 3 preachers and a squadron of Penitent Engines), and it's an awesome set-up (soooo many faith points!)
