Infighting? Where you expecting the IG and the SM to go at it? What about the Inquisition? We left plenty of room for it. You could easily have faced Heretic/chaos-worshipping Imperials from the residents on the planet, or have decided that somebody was violating a dictate of the Inquisition (Kurlin had plenty of infighting potential during Medusa V - you could even hold a grudge from that). You could simply have decided that the locals weren't complying with Imperial orders/policy in their assistance. Evem the Eldar have two campaign characters who aren't exactly on the same page - and you know how unlikely it is to get those craftworlders to fight each other. Considering the plethora of Imperial players in the gaming community at large, I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been any Imperial infighting.

The Orks have had a bit of in-fighting, but so far it has been rather one sided.

Well, Ive played more 40k in the last 2 months than I did for the last 3 years. I've even bought some new models, assembled old ones that were laying around, and even put paint to miniature all for the Tiorl campaign.
I'm having a good time. I havn't had to write anything since my school days, either. It's been fun seeing what I could do.
As for my ideas? Here it goes... I would like regions to have specific effects. Maybe a set up like Dawn of Wars dark crusade. Have regions that give some minor bonuses for holding them. Or discoveries for taking them, that only that faction would then know. Only allow movement to ajacent regions if you control the one you were fighting in. It would give us players more incentive for doing things and working together. It would also give us more reason to foil other factions plans. If no faction has a clear hold on a territory it could be labled as in doubt or something like that. Just some thoughts.

Well it is too far a long for that, but if we were ever to do another campaign we would take that into consideration.
Glad to see that everyone is loving the campaign. Too be honest, for a while, I didn't think that we were actually going to get this thing running. We started literally the day FoMV ended, and we were planing for a October release. Obviously that was too early. We have had the initial fluff for each race in the can for about six months now, all that remained were the technical issues. It wasn't until late december when I realized "holy crap, we are actually going to pull this off!".

Actually, each faction does have their own unique introduction, complete with different information on what's relevent to them in the system. Meanwhile, factions who are off exploring do sometimes get information that others aren't privvy to.
As far as controlling locales goes, we decided against that this time. In a narrative campaign, you can go all over the place - it just usually hurts your story to bounce around like a pinball.

I second what Alex said. I couldn't participate in FoMV so this is great.
Since you've got the basics done, can we expect a campaign season? There is a campaign once or twice a year or something?

I hope that once we wrap up here you keep a list of contacts for those of us interested and let us know if you do decide to do another campaign in the future. If I had the web design skills necessary I'd offer to start a new campaign near the end of the summer, but alas I know very little about it.

Since you've got the basics done, can we expect a campaign season? There is a campaign once or twice a year or something? You know, I've been considering it. There's also been a bit of chat between myself and a couple other campaign overlords about a campaign staff coordination group or some-such. Despite appearances, even this campaign has been a fair bit of work and I'm not in a settled-down stable life-style, so I'm not making a long-term promise I may have to break. I definitely wouldn't mind running another campaign (it's been kinda fun), but I'd need a good staff (there's a few keepers on this one, but I'm greedy ) and plenty of time to do so. No promises, but I'd tentatively like to do 2 a year - participation in the summer campaigns would make that time-frame stink, so one in March-April and another in November-December would probably be my target times - likely with the March-April campaign revisiting the previous November-December setting. I hope that once we wrap up here you keep a list of contacts for those of us interested and let us know if you do decide to do another campaign in the future. I'll keep the e-mail addresses of anybody who has reported a game and anybody who'd like to PM a request to do so in a list in my e-mail. Should I start another campagin, expect a mass-mailing. If the staff for a campaign I didn't work on request it, I would also provide them with the list of campaigners - as long as nobody here objects. Well, you've got about the same web design skills I do, you can easily copy the source code for the site I made, and you have me to ask questions of. Congratulations, you've just volunteered. Kyrolon's running the next one, guys! ;D

How much longer do we have with this campaign? Three or four more weeks?

We'll play 8 weeks total, so there's 2 weeks and the remnants of this one.
The final report will be later than usual, because we'll be allowing people to report through Wednesday of the last week and then we'll need some time to get all the results together and determine who did how well before writing the final stories.

One of the things that I like about this campaign is that we are the ones that make the ending of the campaign what we want, not like what happened in Medusa. The battle reports are awesome. I can not get enough of them.

This has been pretty fun. A lot of work though. Most of which Incubi has done. If we keep making campaigns I'd be happy to continue helping.
